Break Cabin Fever- "B" Day

Thank you for joining me on our second day of my Break Cabin Fever-26 Days of ABC Crafts. If you need more info or a look back, please click HERE.

Today our theme is around the letter "B." BE inspired!
Bee "B"-For our decorated letter, I had my son stamp "bees" all over the letter.
Brown Bear Puppet-This was a two-for-one-kind of craft. First I took a brown sack bag and had lil man paint circles with a toilet paper roll. This was suppose to represent the fur on the bear. And of course we used brown paint because brown starts with "B." Once the paint was dry, I added embellishments to make it look like a bear. I also used this puppet bear for storytime as well.
Tissue Paper Bee-These types of crafts are my go-to because they are so easy. So expect to see lots of tissue paper "anything."

First I cut a peanut shape out of construction paper. Then I glued that to another sheet. This is the body of the bee. Out of black paper, I cut strips for the bee stripes. Then I cut out some squares out of white tissue paper. After putting some glue down, I let lil man add the white tissue paper and then the stripes. We finished up with some eyes, antennas and legs.
Coffee Filter Butterflies-For this craft you need some coffee filters, watercolors and pipe-cleaners. First flatten the coffee filters. Allow your child to paint the "wings" of the butterfly. Once dry, twist your pipe-cleaner around the coffee filter to make it look like a butterfly.
Water Bottle Bowling-I tend to save all the recyclables in our house. Toilet paper rolls, cardboard and water bottles come in handy for crafts. That is where this activity came along. All you need to do is save some clean-empty water bottles and a ball. Set it up like a bowling alley and let your child have at it.
Button Stamping-For this craft you need a piece of wood, random buttons, paint and a hot glue gun. All you need to do is hot glue some buttons to the piece of wood, making sure the buttons are all the same thickness and flat. Once the hot glue is dry, tell your child to dip them in the paint (blue, brown & black) and stamp it on paper. Ours didn't exactly turn out the way I thought it would, but it was still a fun stamp.

And last our snack of the day. On past posts I have mentioned we have A LOT of frozen bananas in our freezer. Naturally we had a banana shake to tie everything together.

1 cup chocolate almond milk (the best ever) plus 1-2 frozen bananas. Throw both in your blender. Blend and enjoy!

If none of those crafts got you inspired, here are a few B words to get the brain going: ball, balloon, bandage, basket, bell, bat, bed, bib, blanket, building blocks, boat, bone, book, bucket, brush, bow, bowl

Check back tomorrow for a day of C crafts! Happy crafting!
